BANQUETING @ ARIYASOMVILLA

Since opening the hotel we have been handling a number of private parties and banquets. Recently, we hosted a prominent Ladies club AGM followed by heir luncheon. This was followed by a pre-wedding dinner and then over the weekend we catered to an SME hosted seminar.

Our library seems to be a popular venue for cocktail parties, fund raisers, luncheons, dinners and seminars.

Please call to us if you are interested in our Banqueting facilities - meetings, lunches and dinners.

Call to our main number - 02 -2548880 or direct to me on -081 8371573 and we'll do our best to make your party / event a big success.

We look forward to welcoming you AriyasomVilla.

Apple crumble @ AriyasomVilla

We produce quite a number of home made deserts - but of all - the apple crumble is possibly our most popular.

Green apples - cut, peeled and cored
Raisins, currents & candid orange peel
Unsalted butter
Cinnamon
Crystal brown sugar

Put in a large pan and slowly cook over a low heat. Cook for about 15 - 20 minutes until the apples just start to go soft. Put the apple mixture into individual ramekins or a larger bowl.

In a large mixing bowl add soft flower, crystal brown sugar, butter, pinch of salt and cinnamon. Rub the butter into the flour until you have a crumbly biscuity mixture.

Top the ramekin / bowl with plenty of crumble mixture and bake in the oven - about 20 - 30 minutes.

Serve with vanilla ice cream and or creme Anglais. A great way to complete a meal!

Cookies@AriyasomVilla

For functions we often make home made cookies. Very easy to make but so much better than those from the supermarket.

I use organic self raising flour from Waitrose - combine with oatmeal, brown sugar, salt, a small amount of baking powder, chocolate chips, raisins or cranberries, nuts ( macadamia or almonds or cashew) - combine thoroughly. Gently melt the butter, a spoonful of golden syrup - add to the dry mixture and lastly beaten eggs. Mix thoroughly.

Spoon out on to a baking tray in small balls and bake in the oven for 12 - 15 minutes. Cool on a wire tray until cool and crispy.
Great with a cup tea!

AriyasomVilla@amazing Thailand tamboon 2 !

A couple more photos as we ran out of space on the previous blog!

AriyasomVilla@amazing Thailand tamboon!

We attended the festival at Wat Po Hom - Angthong province - about 18 km north of Angthong - near Wat Chaiyo. Every year at about this time the temple holds a festival to mark the passing away of the first Abbot.

As usual the Temple was gloriously decorated and decked out - it was really quite something. The leading light at the temple is Mae Chee Dow and the decoration and smooth running of the event is a testamount to her organizational ability.

We were invited to take part in the "rong tarn" - as usual we took along our pancake stove and cooked pancakes. I think we produced about 500 over - but there was probably more than 800 people attending.

The events included an Isarn band , colourful folk dancers and as usual a very professional group of Khon dancers - the show was terrific - esp the khon.

we are including some photos of the events - hope you enjoy them.
